Create a QR code with a built-in landing page you can update anytime. Your code is saved to your Dashboard, includes scan analytics, and the page content can be changed without reprinting.
What you'll need
- A FreeQR account (recommended) or guest access
- An idea of what you want on your landing page
Step 1: Click Create
From your Dashboard, click Create.
Step 2: Choose Dynamic QR code
You'll see two options. Choose Dynamic QR code.
Dynamic codes include a landing page builder and let you update content anytime without changing the QR code itself.
Step 3: Enter your QR code details
Fill in the following:
QR Code name A name to help you identify this code (only visible to you).
URL
FreeQR generates a unique URL for your landing page (like https://abc123.freeqr.io). This URL cannot be changed after creation, but you can update everything on the page itself.
Page protection (optional) Enable this to require a password before visitors can view your page. Useful for private or restricted content.
Click Create QR Code to continue.
Step 4: Build your landing page
After creating your QR code, you'll enter the landing page editor with four tabs:
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Info | Choose a template and adjust settings (name, password) |
| Build | Add and arrange content blocks |
| Design | Customize page colors, fonts, and appearance |
| QR Code | Customize how your QR code looks |
Choose a template (Info tab)
Start with a preset template or build from scratch:
| Template | Best for |
|---|---|
| Empty Page | Starting from scratch |
| Link to a website | Simple redirect with branding |
| VCard Plus | Sharing contact information |
| Document | Linking to PDFs or files |
| Social Media | Showcasing social profiles |
| Images | Photo galleries |
| Videos | Video content |
| Audio | Podcasts, music |
| Products & Services | Showcasing offerings |
| Business | Company information |
| Event | Event details |
| Coupon | Discounts and promotions |
| Feedback | Collecting responses |
Don't worry about picking the perfect one—you can change it later.

Common questions
Can I change my landing page after creating it?
Yes. That's the main advantage of dynamic QR codes. Edit your page anytime—the QR code stays the same, but the content updates instantly.
Can I change the URL after creation?
No. The URL (like abc123.freeqr.io) is permanent. But since you control the landing page, you can change everything visitors see without needing a new URL.
What's the difference between dynamic and static?
Dynamic codes link to a landing page you can edit, are saved to your Dashboard, and include scan tracking. Static codes link to a fixed URL and aren't saved. See: Static vs dynamic QR codes
Do I need an account?
You can create as a guest, but your QR codes won't be saved unless you claim your account. See: How to create a FreeQR account
