The Form component collects information from visitors through input fields. Use it for contact forms, registrations, feedback, or any data collection.
What Form does
This component adds input fields to your landing page. Visitors fill out the form and submit it. You can view responses in your FreeQR dashboard or use Google Forms for collection.
Use this when you want to:
- Create a contact form
- Collect event registrations or RSVPs
- Gather feedback or survey responses
- Generate leads
- Accept order requests
- Build a newsletter signup

If you chose Feedback when creating your QR code, a form component is already on your page. Skip to the platform options below to configure it.
Platform options
Choose how you want to collect form responses:

Option 1: FreeQR native forms
Step 1: Open your landing page editor
Go to your Dashboard, select your QR code, and click Edit.
Step 2: Add the component
Click Add component at the bottom of the editor panel. Select Form from the menu.
Step 3: Select FreeQR platform
Make sure FreeQR is selected as the platform.
Step 4: Add form fields
Click + Add field to create your first field. Configure each field with these settings:

Step 5: Add more fields
Repeat the process for each field you need. Common form setups:
Contact form: - Name (Text, required) - Email (Text, required) - Message (Paragraph, required)
Event registration: - Name (Text, required) - Email (Text, required) - Number of guests (Single Choice) - Dietary requirements (Paragraph, optional)
Step 6: Configure form settings
Go to the Form Settings tab to customize:

Step 7: Save your changes
Click Save to publish your form.
Viewing form responses
Form responses appear in your FreeQR dashboard. Go to your QR code and look for the Form Responses section.
Option 2: Google Forms
Use this option if you already have a Google Form or need more complex form features.
Step 1: Create your form in Google Forms
Go to forms.google.com and create your form with all the fields you need.
Step 2: Get the form URL
Click Send in Google Forms, then copy the link.
Step 3: Add the Form component
In your FreeQR landing page editor, add a Form component and select Google Forms as the platform.
Step 4: Enter the form URL
Paste your Google Form URL in the URL field.
Accepted formats:
- https://forms.gle/... (short link)
- https://docs.google.com/forms/... (full URL)
Step 5: Set the height
Enter a height in pixels for the embedded form. Start with 500 and adjust as needed.

Step 6: Save your changes
Click Save to embed your Google Form.
Tips for best results
- Keep forms short. Every extra field reduces completion rates.
- Mark required fields clearly. Use "Allow empty" only for truly optional fields.
- Write clear labels. "Your email address" is better than "Email."
- Set expectations. Tell visitors what happens after they submit.
- Test your form. Submit a test response to make sure it works.

Where do FreeQR form responses go?
Responses are stored in your FreeQR dashboard. Go to your QR code and find the Form Responses section.
Can I get email notifications for submissions?
Email notifications depend on your plan. Check your notification settings in the dashboard.
Can I export form responses?
Yes. You can export responses from your dashboard for use in other tools.
